Do you believe in signs or messages from the universe?

I ate Chinese today, and this was in my fortune cookie. I've been doing a lot of planning and trying to overcome my fears lately. It just seems like a message I needed.

I personally think they've rigged all the cookies.

I got about 3 of these relevant messages in the past 3 weeks.


Funny thing though, the ones I get come with lotto numbers on the back of the fortunes and the numbers are never right.

Sometimes things seem too coincidental that that's all it is. Tbh I find it fascinating but I'm not going to pretend to know what it's all about. I just keep an open mind

I want to believe that there are. Problem is the logical side of me can't see them as anything other than random events my monkey brain connects to unrelated things.

Definitely. I believe I was supposed to die a while ago... I was a premature baby, 2.5 months early, 2lbs 13 oz, and in the hospital for 10(?) weeks before I could go home. I had been unconscious at times as well.
I had pneumonia when I was 5 and was in the hospital for 5 days.
I got into a bad car accident when I was 5, a semi headed for our car, and we got plowed into a snowy ditch after doing a 360 on the highway.
It's weird that these all happened within the first 5 years of my life, when I'm especially fragile, yet I am still here.

Yeah, I know they aren't really signs and just a super accurate coincidence, but sometimes things apply like they were made just for me. It's eerie but strangely comforting too.

I do when in a manic phase with bipolar. The stuff makes sense at the time and I have full memory of it when on the down phase. I think tho in general we as humans are overly intelligent and 'read' into random information too much.

I used to have a knack of singing a song when driving in the car and then it would come on the radio.
I was also pretty good at being able to predict electrical stuff like the power coming back on after a blackout. It really is most likely just synchronicity but it certainly feels weird at the time.

Yes, identifying patterns gave us an evolutionary advantage. Now we see them everywhere. The act of seeing them gives us a memory bias. There's lots more coincidental stuff goes on but we process it without awareness and so it lacks perceived synchronicity.

Or maybe our brains are too dumb to comprehend such a huge scheme.

These stuff happen all the time, to most people, and sometimes it's just that they don't catch it but it's there. Remember what Obi Wan said:

I love that restaurants, been there a year ago, tired to go alone. At least they have clean dishes, unlike others. And no, I don't believe in signs or anything mysterious.

I've learnt only recently about magnetars, they're scary and they have to mean something. There are only a dozen of them ever discovered i believe.
