From a psychology standpoint yes. Dreams supposedly really aren't random. I recall nightmares of child abuse I had. From a psychological standpoint those dreams were my minds way of telling me to get away or figure out a way to stop the abuse. As if I don't get away my survival will be effected and the funny thing is it was effected due to the abuse. It's made my life harder and contributed to my depression. Maybe if I would have payed attention to my dreams more and tried to leave or ask someone for help things could have been different. So just a note I would pay attention to your dreams more closely and try to decide what they could be telling you. I have studied psychology btw so I love stuff like this. Are recurring dreams and nightmares signs?
