Just as the title says, are you into any cute games?

I've been craving for games with a cute and pretty style and has exploration + can dress up/customize your char + can decorate your own house/room. Infinity Nikki matches this, but it is unfortunately not optimized for any of my devices rn. There's also Petit Planet, and I wish I signed up for its 2nd beta test which opened recently. Unfortunately, my set date to ctb was around the time it opened, though it failed and I'm still here TvT

Anyway, I'm just making do now with Hello Kitty Dream Village (HKDV) to satisfy this craving lol. Though it's only dress up and decoration. I know there's other options but HKDV is somehow the only one available that I like rn ToT. Even though there's been some issue lately with AI art/stolen art and mismanagement...Cocone (the devs) was better before istg :,)

I wanna try games that are ofc of better quality, which would often be behind a pricetag or in a console that I don't have-- but sadly yea I'm broke and can only settle for free to plays. Though mentioning this, I remember that I spent quite a bit on Where Winds Meet (WMM) for character cosmetics. I don't really regret it, but like I coulda bought some games on my steam wishlist or saved up lol.

What I maybeeee shouldn't have done though was gifting an online friend from the game, someone I've only known for two months, an outfit that costed around ₱1200+ ($20), and then experience a falling out a week after that. I don't regret gifting him either but I think it's kind of dumb of me to do that...(I was impulsive yea)
Also Where Winds Meet isn't really a cute game so maybe I shouldn't be mentioning it in this post but the topic just got to that 乁( ・ 〰 ・ )ㄏ

Btw, what's up with games these years becoming more detailed and graphics-heavy...Like does majority of the audience have the financial means to have a device that can run it? ToT Well I guess those that don't meet the spec requirements aren't part of the audience, but it just sucks...It's fortunate enough that WWM is optimized for my tab's specs; though it's no longer playable for my laptop, Infinity Nikki is also the same :,) But yea, it was only playable there for the early versions. Difference is that WWM can run pretty smoothly on my tablet but Infinity Nikki is a lag hell. Same with OverField which is a chibi platformer MMO that I tried out recently

Also, even with games with simple graphics, it's still somehow incompatible with low-end devices, or devices that aren't friggin snapdragon. Like HKDV kept crashing on my phone, and Cats&Soup which I was able to play years ago on the same device is now unplayable. Maybe I'm unlucky, cuz over the years, this is what happened to the games I play until I got a better device (like Project Sekai, Cookie Run Kingdom, Sky:Cotl...also Toram Online which changed its version requirement back then). Feels like those with low-end devices (or devices that will become low-end in the future) will eventually be left out as games get more upgraded. I understand that it just won't function well on devices that don't meet the reqs, but it just sucks when it was able to run on that device but later becomes unable to.
Another thing I wanna mention are mobile devices having high RAM and storage space but doesn't have the CPU to match it...Like what's even the point

ANYHOW THIS GOT OUT OF TOPIC
But yea, if anyone here likes cute games too, or even if not but you got something related to share with whatever was mentioned, pls do 🙏

You mentioned but I guess project sekai fits these characteristics you were talking about here

I'm talking more specifically about My Sekai. Never really got into it since I was too lazy to do the dailies. However, I remember visiting some random sekais and seeing some pretty well decorated ones. I was really amazed by some, like I don't got this ability to decorate things like that lol :P

I remember the day it launched in the EN server, I was testing the function to visit other sekais and saw one who already had some pretty advanced stuff, like it just launched and people already got to that level??? Lol

In the end I stopped playing after using all my 90000 crystals in the sanrio Collab. God I hate gacha games ( ̄ ̄|||)

I know you have a particular genre in mind, but I found Untitled Goose Game to be easygoing and I would say "cute" in its aesthetics. You are a goose creating havoc in an Australian village and there are quests to complete. It's good for light entertainment.

Hold on- pjsk now has a room deco feature??? Omggg, that's so unexpected ToT It's been so long since I last played

Also it doesn't have to fit the characteristics I mentioned! It can be any cute game and I think pjsk is one~

So real tho 😔

I've seen this one too, looks like a game that came from the early 2000s (welp it is 90s style)
Not into farming games much but I think it would be nice to try it out someday

Ouu I think I saw a clip of this once, didn't know it was about playing as a goose being a menace tho haha (that'd be fun too irl) (How is it more expensive than Fields of Mistria btw-)
Can cookie run kingdom be considered a cute game?
Ya ofc!

I agree with you 😔 Most of em doesn't have much gameplay-wise, and many has gacha which you'll be grinding sm just to have a 10 pull...and that's the gameplay basically (I still friggin play it tho, it's like a fidget toy for me somehow)

I really like games where you collect and craft stuff. I absolutely loved 'Winter Burrow' for being both very cute and beautiful but, also being in a not hugely challenging world.

Untitled Goose Game was hilarious. I really enjoyed annoying all the villagers. I needed to watch walk throughs to complete it though- embarassingly.

Back in my days, we had Goat Simulator.

For cute games that I've played, there was Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home. I love the way they make the cows there.

Then, there was Adorable Home where I can completely live a delusional marriage with my partner where we adopt a bunch of cats.

Depends on the genre. In some games it's cool in others it's a complete shock

Hmm, I don't know if cozy games count as cute games? I find them cute at least. I always liked playing Farming Sims like Fields of Mistria, Stardew and some Harvest Moon and Story of Season Games. And my most played game of all time is probably Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but I also love all the other Animal Crossing titles. Slime Rancher is really sweet, too. If I had access to a Switch 2, I'd probably currently sink all my free time into Pokopia, everything I have seen from it is soo cute. But I sadly don't have one.
As for the games you mentioned, I sadly don't know any except Infinity Nikki and Project Sekai I think, though I have played neither of them (even though my pfp is from the latter). :(
