• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I don't think the real question is whether they care. It's why should they care? Having mental issues doesn't automatically make one a nice person.

If i think about the people i've known, some of them dying would probably make me sad. In some cases i would even be happy about the person dying. But mostly just indifferent. Why would it be any different to mental health workers? They are doing a job.

If they get attached to every person they treat/get familiar with in life, then they probably have some problems by themselves.

this really depends on the mental health worker.. they're all individuals, and some of them really do want to make a difference in people's lives and help them heal.. unfortunately, it's probably more common that the majority of them only care on a superficial level, and just want as little inconvenience as possible.. so while there are some genuinely caring people in this field, more often than not, you'll be met with indifference at best, and hostility at worst.

Most care, some don't. Just like all people in all professions.

I think they do. There are kind and empathic therapists out there. I have seen many but I quit because it didn't work for me.

The "care" that they give is fleeting, they can cry and be sad for up to a month with your death, but eventually they move on and you just turn into a tragic memory.

Do you think the people who try and stop our suicides really care if we do it or not?
Usually they are the people triggering our suicidal thoughts. I honestly feel like it's a complex. They want to feel like they did a good job, that they are a good person. That they saved a life when in reality, the thoughts didn't go away, the feeling didn't stop, we just kept them inside.
