Y'all are freaking me out about my SN. I've had it since April and it's in a baggie, within another baggie. I've read that it has a shelf life of 3 years. But threads are claiming that 50% of it deteriorates in 90 days and so forth. Is this ok to use in a few weeks??? It's always had air in the bag, and I haven't opened at all. Nitrite

This is an unknown. There are websites that say that half of it turns to sodium nitrate every 90 days once exposed to air (a half-life on 90 days), but it is uncertain whether this is correct since this information is n ot on really authoritative sites. Using the blood test to see if it turns brown right away would be one sign of it possibly being ok. This is a grey area, somewhat uncertain. It's better it it comes in an airtight container and it is only opened a few days or so before using it.

You can do a blood test. The only thing I can advise without chemical analysis
