Yes because they work on dopamine receptors. That's all antipsychotics really are. Dopamine antagonists.

yeah i was searching about this and thinking about it but it isn't as reliable and has some caveats. there's certain ones like seroquel where you have to be on like 300 mg of it and on it for a longer time too so it builds up in ur bloodstream. read more here
Yeah, knew that. Unfortunately I don't have olanzapine, which would probably be better than the quetiapine I have because it seems to be more associated with relieving nausea. Thanks for replying!

Antipsychotics do indeed work as great antiemetics, they work wonders for nausea and vomiting from migraines and chemo.
The Antipsychotics that work best for Nausea and vomiting are generally the ones that are D2 dopamine receptor antagonists.
However, be aware some antipsychotics can cause unpleasant Pseudo Parkinson like symptoms, that usually wear off once the drug leaves your system, such as restlessness, rigidity, tremors and jerky movements.
The Antipsychotics that work best for Nausea and vomiting are generally the ones that are D2 dopamine receptor antagonists.
However, be aware some antipsychotics can cause unpleasant Pseudo Parkinson like symptoms, that usually wear off once the drug leaves your system, such as restlessness, rigidity, tremors and jerky movements.

You might want to take Seroquel with caution, as it brings some unpleasant side affect mentioned above, so maybe start with 50 mg to see if your body reacts to it badly.
Be aware Seroquel may give you the munchies really bad and not to stay long in kitchen long, as you may raid the pantry, cupboards, fridge for food a lot.
Seroquel is also pretty sedative, like knocks you the fuck out sedative, so be somewhere you can get some sleep.
It's kind of a weird antipsychotic, as it's known as Suzie-Q on the street by people, who are recreational stimulant drug users to come done on other than benzo's.
I think it's used on the street because it's a rather short acting antipsychotic drug, that knocks you the fuck out for a shorter time compared to other antipsychotics. like Olanzapine and doesn't often make you get pseudo Parkinson symptoms like Risperidone.
PS I'm not a recreational stimulant drug user or any other type of recreational drug users, I've just been on antipsychotics for mental health related reasons.
Oh and just remember to think it entirely through before you do anything relating to suicide, as this forum is here for people to talk about the taboo subject of suicide without immediately getting sectioned in a psych ward by health professionals, and to support people going through similar scenario's to yourself etc health, financial, social, housing etc.
I know living in this world with an ongoing pandemic, high inflation, high cost of living and most probable a recession, that could make people loss their jobs is not going to be a easy time, and will be rough for people.

How long before SN would you need to use Olanzapine. Do you need to be on it for days for example? Or will one 5mg pill on the night work?
