• Hey Guest,

We will never comply with any of OFCOM's demands or any other nations censorious demands for that matter. We will only follow the laws of the land of which our server is located, which is the US.

Any demands for censorship or requests to comply with the law outside of the US will be promptly ignored.

No foreign laws or pressure will make us comply with anti-censorship laws and we will protect the speech of our members, regardless of where they might live in the world. If that means being blocked in the UK, so be it. We would advise that any UK member gets a VPN to browse the site, or use TOR.

However, today, we stand up these these governments that want to bully or censor this website.

Fuck OFCOM, and fuck any media organization or group that think it's cool or fun to stalk or bully people that suffering in this world.

Edit: We also wanted to address the veiled threats made against a staff member in the UK by the BBC in the news today. We are undeterred by any threats, intimination, by the BBC or by any other groups dedicated to doxxing and harassing our staff and members. Journalists from the BBC, CTV, Kansas Star, Daily Mail and many other outlets have continuiously ignored the fact that many of the people that they're interviewing (such as @leelfc84 on Twitter/X) and propping up are the same people posting addresses of staff members and our founders on social media. We show them proof of this and they ignore it and don't address it.They're all just as evil as each other, and should be treated accordingly. They do not care about the safety of our staff members, founders, or administrators, or even members, so why would they care about you?

Now that we have your attention, journalists, will you ever address this? You've given these evil people interviews, and free press.

So I recently saw a post about someone who tried the VSED (voluntarily stopped eating and drinking) except he kept drinking and only stopped eating. This went on for a few weeks and apparently he almost succeeded were it not for the fact he fainted in public (and almost died, but was given cpr). Apparently, the feeling was eventually "good" or at least not as painful as the beginning.

NOW, I know we are all strangers and we can make fake posts and stuff like that, and everyone is different. But geniunely, could this be a decent method? Just staying at home, being disciplined enough not to eat, just kind of chilling and drinking as usual, letting nature do its job to ctb. This would be something I'd consider if I decided to try ctb again (when things gets bad enough and I find myself living alone in a few years).

Also, I have tried the Shallow Water Blackout method by inhaling antitranspirant spray through a towel to decrease my oxygen and then drown painlessly. I was almost there but the SI is absolutely INSANE with that method. Would be perfect if not for the SI.

Back to the topic, what are your thoughts on starving?

I think it'd be a fine method if you have the willpower and time. Cutting water can be painful but if you have access to pain management, I hear it's not so bad. Completely up to you. I was considering doing this for myself but it's just too slow and I live with my family so it's hard to pull off without getting saved.

Just my 2 cents worth on this, but as so many already know SI is beyond powerful and being able to "beat" it would be very hard if not impossible.

I have had 2 attempts, and at least with my experience, SI is so VERY strong. Now add in the fact that a person is extremely hungry, WOW is all I can say.

Back in 1974 when my "parents" dropped me off on a street curb with a bag of my clothes, no money, no food, nothing, this was in the morning time frame, by that evening all I could think about was finding food, even over shelter. Thank heavens a person that I got to know in high school, he was a few years younger, saw me took me to his parents' home where he lived also, and fed me. Even thou it has been over 50 years I can still remember what I ate, as I had had nothing in almost 24 hours.

You are family to/for me and all I want for you is for you to be happy with whatever you choose with anything period.

Lots of huge hugs, caring thoughts and the knowledge that you are VERY important.

Walter

To me personally it sounds unbearable to try and succeed with, I really wish it's not so difficult to die, it's so cruel to me how I cannot just have the option to painlessly die in peace.

I was really excited about Canada's maid program. That would have solved alot of people's problems and it would be so much easier and way more peaceful. I hope that the united states one day will have it but I know since we are so business oriented here they want people to continue living so that they can contribute to society. So more than likely that is just a foolish dream of mine

Starving is one of those methods where I've never seen a single, verified successfull attempt. Its just impossible with our biological urges and in todays world where someone will find you. The only way would be to do it in some forest, throw your phone away, chain yourself to a tree, throw the key away and...thats sounds fucking horrible. Thats torture

Bobby Sands did it in a British prison in 1980.

For me it sounds painful, and you need a lot of will power to resist the biological urges, especially thirst
It can be even harder if you are young and healthy.

I'm also young and healthy, but I do take a lot of meds for mental health issues and I forgot to eat a day (because I barely have any energy left even for eating) and I got really dizzy after 24 hours lol

Ive starved before and I can confirm it does get somewhat easier the longer you starve. That being said it is something you have to be conscious of because there were several times i almost started eating automatically without even thinking about it.

As an anorexic, drinking but not eating will likely take weeks-months in a healthy person. The body can sustain itself surprisingly long when well hydrated, even if malnourished.

I and many others here have attempted VSED. The odds are about 0 for you to succeed even if you go completely without anything. You can think you have the willpower, but the body will become primitive. Before you know it it's been several days and without a chance to stop yourself you've chugged a gallon of water and eaten anything you could get your hands on. The body is made to not do that. Even if you go into the woods you'd likely find yourself drinking out of streams and creeks out of desperation. You might feel confident for the first several days, but eventually nature will take over. There are no confirmed successful cases of VSED on here.

Thanks for always throwing in the most thoughtful posts. Much love.

OP, wishing you the peace you seek <3 PMs open, I have had an ED for 15+ years so VSED is sometimes just my life. PMs open.

As someone who was anorexic in their teens, once you go a couple of days without eating, the hunger and pain does go away (at least in my experience). But you do get very weak and light-headed pretty quickly, but probably depends on your metabolism, how much you weigh, etc. I do think that SI would make it very difficult though, because as you get physically weaker your will also gets weaker, not to mention you start not being able to think clearly, so you might binge something impulsively while having every intention starve and die.

It doesn't seem like a great idea to me, personally

I just went through cold turkey 6mg for 20 years klonopin and gabapentin withdrawal and didn't eat for 12 days. I slept like a baby cuz my body was dying, but my kidneys and organs ached. I lost so much weight so fast, but without being in withdrawal and being virtually anorexic, it's far too long and painful and there are too many ways out. You're better off hiking in the desert on a hot day with no water, you'll die in one day.

Unless you're ghandi or a dude in isolation in guantanamo I dont think it's possible. And if you go far enough you'll lose bone and muscle you'll never get back. Not a good plan. I still haven't fully gained the weight back from that withdrawal 40 days later.

I believe it takes about 40 days to starve yourself which probably depends on your weight, but if your obese it could probably take 60+ days.
