Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Just imagine though there was some sort of an underground alternative to these facilities, like some Robin Hood type of guy who'd run the project and help people in need. Cuz even Pegasos is pretty expensive especially for folks outside EU who also have to spend a fortune on flights and whatnot. Oh man, if only MAiD was more loose and widespread

We have so many ressources on this site. We could make something like this happen fr. We could build a suicide pod or a little N factory with donations from users of this site.
I was declined from assisted dying in my country and i'm not the only one for sure. Others may get accepted but don't have 6.000€ just like that. We need an alternative asap.

The last thing any of us have the motivation to do is build a N factory, or take the risk of being put in a federal pound me in the ass prison. What someone needs to do is release a good N synthesis how to, and let people do it themselves. It won't be as easy as baking a cake, but the more intelligent/sufficiently motivated SASU members and general public could pull it off.

Sure sounds lovely.
I've always thought it was messed up that we would grant mercy to our pets to keep them from suffering, but we'd deny our fellow humans that same right.
I know what you mean. I tend to wonder/ worry about the psychology of someone who would want to stay alive to run something like this though. Is it only compassion that makes them want to help people die or, is something darker going on? If it's unregulated too then- there aren't so many safeguards. Are they qualified to assess mental competency for instance?
If they get a family turn up wheeling in granny- will they be able to truly ascertain whether she is being coerced or not? How about an 18 year old who's devastated after breaking up with their first girl/boyfriend? It's a lot of power for one person to have. They are pretty much playing God. They likely won't have the authority to pull medical files either so- they're relying entirely on what the person tells them.
How much do you think they should charge? The clinics charge £10-15k. Whoever is running this though is doing so illegally. It's 14 years jail time for assisting a suicide. More I imagine if you assist multiple people. Or- they may try and press for murder charges. Kenneth Law- who sold SN is facing murder charges. How much money would make it worth their risk? Do you think many would be able to afford it ultimately?
Would you do something that could land you in jail for between 14 years and a life sentence? How much would you be expect to be paid to risk that?
