Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hi there, I hope everyone is having a great day. After a 5 year battle with depression, I had decided to end it with full suspension as my method of choice. But I need some help with the specifics.

First off, I need to know what kind of rope to use and how much of it I need. The other day, I had purchased a 3/8 in x 50 ft twisted polypropylene rope. 2 sets of it to be exact. It claims to be able to hold 245lbs so it works because I'm only 162lbs. But it's very plasticky and I'm worried that it'll hurt (not a big deal) but also that it could slip.
Here are some of the other ropes I can see online.

What does it mean when they say "no overhead lifting"? Is that going to be an issue? Also, keep in mind that I'm only looking at home depot. There's a Canadian Tire and Walmart nearby too so if they might have better options then do tell.

I also need to know how much I need to buy. Is 15 ft enough or is 50 ft needed? I'm tying the noose to a metal basement support beam (will that hold up my weight?) and the ceiling is low, so my toes will kind of touch the ground. My point is, the noose will be 3 inches away from the beam it's tied to. My only other options to tie the noose to is a wooden ceiling joist that's a foot higher. It seems strong and my feet won't touch the ground but it's only held together by 4 nails so I'm not sure. If I'm really REALLY desperate because the other options are bad then I could tie it to a big tree in my backyard. (Not very smart since it's in direct view of a street and my neighbors' window but idk.)

Neck placement, is it below the Adam's apple or above? Also when it comes to tying, do I pre-tie it before I get up on the chair so it's loose enough for my head to fit in or do I need to tie it in the moment to my neck while I'm on the chair so it's tight? How tight? I also need to know exactly how to tie both knots.

Time is an issue to. If I hang myself at 10am and my family gets home close to 4pm then is that enough time??

Lastly, pain and nerves. I know it's gonna hurt, but how much?? I have some naproxen(1000mg), cyclobenzaprine(100mg) and baclofen(75mg) lying around so how much of that will calm me down? If none of them will, then I guess I'll just do it sober like everyone else lol. How much time would it take me to pass out and for my peace of mind, what's the likelihood that I'm successful? If there are any better methods out there (I don't have a gun and I don't know any dealers) then please do tell.

Thank you to whoever took the time to read this and just know that any bit of information is truly helpful and needed. Have a good day!

Here's the full suspension megatread and a couple posts down in it. It has a link to the hanging resource thread also. Your questions should be answered in either one of those.
