I feel really bad sometimes when I realize I haven't showered in almost 3 or 4 days and that i am also forgetting to brush my teeth or not having enough energy to do it, i feel really ashamed of myself when that happens and even one friend I got who was diagnosed with depression told me that was nasty and that she could be really depressed but she would always shower several times a day and never forget to brush her teeth...

What happens to your hygiene habits when you're on a crisis/ depressed?

I live in absolute filthy. Only shower when I have to see my shrink. Once every two months. Yes, it's disgusting, but fuck it.

The same used to happen to me.
Depression tends to do that to us.

We're like: "Why take a shower and brush my teeth when I'll just stay at home and do nothing. Just one more uneventful day."

However, we should all realize that this habit will only take a turn for the worse and we'll just end up more depressed and hating ourselves.
