decided on a method, how do people pick dates?

my other 2 attempts have been pretty impulsive, so i didnt really pick a date. i have no idea how to decide when to do it. i live on a cliff near the Atlantic ocean, my plan, because i dont think its high enough to kill me right away, is to get high first, so i dont care or feel as much while i drown. it takes about 40 minutes for emergency services to get to my town, and i dont think any civilians would be able to get to me at all, assuming anyone even sees me.
how do people decide on a date? do i just wait until i want to do it impulsively again?

For me it's been perhaps a delay, everytime I pick a day, my SI kicks in and I delay it once again even though I have tried impulsively twice with belladonna and oleander but failed.
