Because the seal of the mask is the problem here, your facial muscles and facial contour relax when your unconscious so the mask might not fit anymore. With Scuba mask they say even one strand of a hair can be a problem for a proper seal. It's a major issue.

This debreather thing will cause problems i know for sure. There is needed only one girl or boy thats under 18 years old who dies by this and this site will get banned of internet.

The illustrations show a way less sophisticated system of straps to keep the mask on than the gizmo I use for noninvasive ventilation. But the mask I have isn't always 100% sealed either, so I frequently end up burying my face in my pillow to stop up the leaks. The debreather looks like I'd have to put the pillow over my face and weigh it down somehow. 8\

So do they actually ship it? I mean to the country of destination? Because if yes I might as well just order one on March 2 or whatever.

Someone pointed out that once you pay for and buy it , it then gets sent to a storage shipping place who charge you to have it released and sent to you . and there is no info on the charge for holding in storage etc .So you do not know how much you may be charged to have it released could be expensive ,

Did you see their claim about "award winning design". Just one of many claims that are simply not true. I respect that we have different view points on this device.

Yes I did see that lol. It won Nitchkes award in 2017 supposedly.

I only say it works because I built and tested one on myself and it was effective. Of course i did not pass out, i stopped when pulseox lowered to a point.

Anyway, in China people are slowly returning to their normal life before corona hit them, which is good news for us, so they can start production sooner, I hope.

Hope so mate. The Covid thing has made me less keen on CTB for now because it feels like dying might happen without me choosing it - which is the opposite reason for me being interested in it in the first place.
Conversely, the shutting down of airports and indeed whole cities has made me feel even more trapped than usual - which makes me want to CTB more.
TL;DR: Conflicted. Though I hope those devices go on sale and I can get one through Thai customs. Just heard the postal service has pretty much shut down for the foreseeable future. :(
