• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I there any way a non-US resident can be sentenced to death by firing squad if he travels there and commits something illegal?

Smuggle drugs and get caught in China or Vietnam = death by firing squad.

The thing is that with less developed countries I fear torture before the execution. Maybe it's an irrational thought, but I somehow 'trust' the US to do a humane execution.

China and Vietnam won't torture you, they'll execute you because it's cheaper and more efficient to deter would be drug smugglers from entering their country.

I think anyone who receives a life sentence should have the option of a humane execution in a timely fashion... Then again I think most people should have that option.

I wouldn't necessarily expect the US to do so in a humane manner though, with methods like electrocution or a three-drug lethal injection where one of the drugs is to induce muscle paralysis so you can't see the convict writhing as they die...

(Yes modern societies do know humane ways to end lives, just check the resources thread)

They could simply use inert gases. Super easy.

Hell, anything is better. Hanging, shooting, decapitation.

They only stick to this torture because it's a nice little profit machine full of insiders. Inert gas would be humane and super cheap.

Judging from videos of how they deal with protesters, they might beat the crap out of you just for fun though. Human rights don't exist in China/almost all of Asia.
