Hello, I can't sleep without medicine. I sleep only with neuroleptic, without drugs I can't sleep at all. Maybe real
If I stop taking my medication and stop sleeping, can I expect to die within a few days or weeks?

I realize this isn't the most reliable method of ctb, but is it even possible?

I understand that by the third or fourth day, I'll likely start experiencing psychosis and so on, but is it possible to expect problems with my heart, blood vessels, and other organs...

It is possible but could take between 7/10 days. Considering that, and the fact that it would be quite painful and uncomfortable. I don't recommend it at all.

I think it would take longer than that. Quote:
"The disease (fatal insomnia) is currently incurable and has an average duration of 18 months, ultimately leading to death." (NCBI)
Experiments on lab rats also give results that they die in 11-32 days in constant wakefulness (Sleep Centers of Middle Tennesse)

I assume that refers to a heavy lack of sleep. But not getting any sleep whatsoever like this person is considering will certainly kill you within a week.

you'll probably survive with brain damage, and they will find you delirious and hallucinating.

Yeah it would quite literally be hellish. Like your just gonna be tired and delirious after day two or three, and then it'd just get worse and worse and worse. There's also the chance of someone finding you more easily with methods like these that take multiple days

I think you'll go crazy before ending at the hospital if you try it. I have sleep issues too (I take zolpidem for that and I know the consequences of lack of sleep - just horrible).

Without trying to be rude, i can assure you that insomnia will not kill you immediately. I haven't been sleeping for months naturally, only way i can sleep is with sleeping pill, i have tinnitus, and without pill I can't sleep. It's been months and i'm still alive haha which suck since i wanna die. I can start feeling my organ is falling, i feel pain in my chest sometimes because the heart hasn't been resting through proper sleep, but was told even heart failure from chronic insomnia will take years. Unless you suffer from this rare disease, called fatal insomnia where part of the brain that controls sleep is damaged so you'll die from it.

You sound like me. I take 450mg of pregabalin. Without it I have zero chance of sleeping. Even with it I only sleep in 20 min to hour intervals. I never get refreshing sleep ever. I also take buprenorphine for severe RLS. The longest I've ever gone without sleep is 5 days. I had hallucinations and almost jumped off a roof. Insomnia and sleep problems in general are a huge reason for my ctb.
