One of the most ingenious methods of CTB I've come across was the use of a home-made guillotine by a builder who decapitated himself. He had spent months meticulously assembling an 8ft-high guillotine in his bedroom. The guillotine's blade was released by a timer switch. The fact that he lived with his father didn't put him off from constructing the contraption. He simply told his unsuspecting father it was an anti-burglary device.
