Discussion Death by Americium

[Act Two]

For those who don't know, Americium is a radioactive element that emits alpha radiation, which is usually harmless unless ingested. Am-241 can be found inside of nearly all household smoke detectors, and extracted fairly easily into a pill-sized piece of metal.

The idea: swallow a ton of these and get cooked from the inside out. More of just an idea, but who knows? Thoughts?

Sounds like you'd need a crap ton and most modern ones don't use americium.
