the order didn't go through because the vendor cancelled, but he was still suspicious of what happened and reported the purchase for fraud. will it be traced back to my name + location? i wouldn't have done this if i wasn't desperate and didn't have my own money since i've moved countries with my parents, but now i feel incredibly stupid. i literally want to throw up from guilt. he doesn't suspect me at all, which makes me feel even worse. my classes start again tomorrow but i can't sleep at all because i'm terrified he already knows and isn't saying anything to me, or that he'll find out eventually. if it ends up being traced back to me i have no idea what i'll do. help

First, calm down. What is done is done. There are two options. He either finds out or he doesn't. If he finds out just tell him you were too scared to ask him for money and you need the sn for an experiment you saw on the internet. Or you can tell him you did it before he finds out. Whatever you decide to do I promise he won't be mad for a long time. You will survive ;) Just calm down and breathe.

i guess you're right, i'm going to bed soon. i just feel like such a shitty daughter :( i keep telling myself it's okay to spend this money since i obviously wont be spending any more once i ctb but it's still so obviously morally gross i don't want to think about it

I used to do many bad things when I was a teenager like dropping from school, stealing money from my parents - they used to always find out, shout, be angry and finally forgive me. Your dad loves you.
i wonder if they'll forgive me for what i plan to do with the sn :(

It is not perfect but believe me when I tell you that a lot of people do it. You're not alone. If I could turn back time and be a teenager again I would find a job so I could have my own money (sigh). Wish I was this smart then or my parents forced me to earn my own money.
If you wonder if they will, think about writing a note to explain everything.

I myself do not have a credit card, I only have my personal debit card from my personal bank. I asked my dad plenty of times if I could get a credit card, and he said no all the time. Since then I used prepaid card to order SN. It didn't link to my bank account and it's private to some extent other than asking for you name, address, etc.

you shouldnt worry. a regular person will think of a 100 other reasons you might need sn for before thinking it's to ctb yourself, you're good.
