Cutting of own throat

I have looked this method up and it's not a common way at all. And is very risky.


there's not really much information on it.
my sibling did it this was tho and succeeded.(yes they had the biggest balls ever)

What i would like to know how long it would take you to do this. Going to your arteries. This has got to be the most painful way to go has it not?
what are your thoughts about it?

I almost tried this summer but it seemed crazy.

Have heard of a guy in india that did it in an open market, cut his throat open died immediately.

yes my sibling done it but I just don't understand how as I said takes so f**king balls

Yes method is interesting, but cafotide artery must cut and then bleed to desth, it takes 10minutes to die from bleeding

was on life support for 3 days and then switched off as brain dead had a operation on neck tho that was successful. 3 blood transfusions then told brain dead

This is horrifying to me personally. I think anyone who would go this way are pretty fucking brave. I'd be fearful that either SI or intense pain would kick in and I'd be unable to finish, leaving myself with a gnarly wound instead.
What caught my attention to this thread was that I did actually have an ex partner many years ago who wanted to go this way. We planned an attempt together with random medication (before ss, little to no research) and they brought knives but decided it was too much to go through with.

I would highly discourage this simply because if you do it wrong you're in for a world of suffering. If you do decide to take this route only cut the arteries, and do yourself a favor and avoid the trachea. That said you must have some serious balls of steel to be able to cut your own throat.

I know Im not saying this is my method I wouldn't want the mess etc. I just want try understand why they would choice this route and when they know someone would find them in matter of mins or so.

Arguably if nobody was going to find you I suppose it would be a functional method if one had the pain threshold and fear tolerance to handle it. I can't personally understand why anyone would take this route outside of self-hate

That's a really uncomfortable method to be honest. I don't understand why someone would choose this. I feel like even train decapitation would be easier to do.

The key to not feeling any pain when you cut yourself is to do it while you're angry. If you're a man, you get enough testosterone build up that it overcomes any pain receptors you may have. Plus it takes less than 20 seconds to bleed out if you cut your carotids

I have already stated this is not my choice of method but how my sibling took his life !!!!! Nothing weird about that

ho sorry... I dont know what caused him to do that but he probably was in much pain to do such thing. At least he has peace now

With 55-80 ml of blood through the heart at each beat (at 65 beats a minute), a completely severed carotid artery will spurt blood and use up all 4-5 Liters of blood in about a minute. I think it would be over at 30-45 seconds for the most part though?

I think if the carotid arteries and the vertebral arteries are severed bilaterally, this will cause unconsciousnes and death to occur in roughly 7-10 seconds or less, maybe 15 seconds maximum?

I am not completely sure? It sounds correct though.

I got I because I went to the inquest and yes you can request it

Sometimes there isn't a cause of death it depends on the way you go

If you do cutting on the neck then don't on the throat but carotid artery or jugular vein. I once tried artery and although it was painful it wasn't like most ppl think of. I admire your brother for the successful act.

It sounds like there were two main incisions (surgical-like cuts) one on each side of the neck.

The right side was approximately 2 1/2 inches long lengthwise across the neck, and it was almost 2 inches deep into the neck, if I read that right?

The report seems a little bit poorly written to me too.

The left side had a longer approximately 3 1/2 inch lengthwise incision cut slanted across the neck, and it went about 1 1/2 inches deep.

There appears there are also some superficial incisions or cuts noted on the left side of the neck too, with a separate maybe slightly deep (not measured) incision on this same left side of the neck as well. Those are common findings from what I understand, as people are attempting something like this to have pre-cuts on one side like that prior to as they go forth to do the main cuts.
