It's something I've thought of a few times but now the thought is more prevalent.

See, I live in good 'ol Canada and given my circumstances, I qualify for the $2000 a month thing (I believe the max it goes up to is $8000) and as much as $8000 isn't a lot, it's more I have in my bank account rn lol.

But then I had this thought. What if I just ran away?

Running away could solve a lot of my problems. I could reinvent myself, invest in my education, move in with my best friend, etc.

But what if nothing changes? Why not just ctb since nothing might improve? What if I regret running away and end up in a worse situation?

So I was wondering, if given a chunk of money and opportunity, would you rather run away to a different state/city/province/country, or just go ahead and ctb?

I haven't decided yet, of course lol

Myself? Been relocating all my life and tbh, it didn't help me. Up until recently it hasn't anyways. But now things are turned on their head and what I was sure was an answer to my life long wishes is now up in the air, so, my advice is try it out. If it doesn't work, well, go back the your original plan.

you could always take the money, spend it on everything that makes you happy even if it's just for a small period of time, or go to a different state/country, shop, go to a bunch of different clubs, spend most of it on alcohol & drugs, and just live it up until you run out of money. just do everything that feels like you have successfully completed any goals you might of had previously, and then ctb when you feel confident enough that you have accomplished everything.

I always dreamed of running away to Florida and working at Disney World. Delete all my social media and just disappear down there. Unfortunately, their international program only gives you a work permit for 1 year :(

If I had the means I would go off the grid for a few years and just exist until my dog passed. Maybe a little house in the country where no one would ever bother me. I can't though it's just a distant fantasy for me.

It's nearly impossible to truly go off the grid these days. We're always being tracked in some way and we can almost always be located

You can run as far as you want, but your internal landscape remains with you. If you're sure that changing external factors can make you content, then take the money and run. It wouldn't work for me..

I actually did run away and started a new life in central Europe. I moved into a flat with flatmates I didn't know but became good friends with, went back to uni again which I never thought I would, got a job that paid well and gave me a lot of free time. Travelled a lot, met great people, had a lot of adventures. It was great for a few years. Now it's all come full circle and I'm back where I started.

Heard Cambodia ain't so bad... sounds wild at first. But after watching some videos and reading. It seems kinda cool actually. They have a visa that allows for like a years long stay I believe- being an expat sounds cool. Hella cheap too for nice Housing. A lot speak English as well from what I've read... not really off the grid cause people will know where you went. But ya know.

I've always wanted to run away and just live in some forest :pfff: or to a new city as you say but I have moved around a lot all my life and it seems my problems in life just follow me around no matter where I am.

If I could, I would definitely have gone off the grid. What is there to lose, really?

I've be been running from home since I was 17. I've moved quite a bit, and unfortunately my BPD/ aspburgers followed me. I even lived in Texas, ended up in a cult..haha....! But I got my revenge on that cult leader...but I wish I kept serving that asshole until I left....that was a good day...when I left texas. Maybe it would be a good distraction for you to move, build memories? hopefully good ones...
