ctb in a few days but its my brothers birthday

hello! this is my first time making a thread so please let me know if anything is wrong.

anyway! my materials for ctb arrive tomorrow, and i very much would like to go soon as i can, but my brothers birthday is on friday, may 1st. i feel really awful about it, but its the best choice for me. would it be better to ctb before or after his birthday? i dont want to ruin his day forever because of what ill do. im thinking the best situation i can do is may 3rd, but it still feels too close. its the only thing stopping me now

i wish i figured out my method sooner, so his birthday wouldnt be ruined by me

I'm having concerns about this too as my brother's birthday is the 19th. I already attempted shortly after his birthday last year so maybe it's already ruined, idk.
