Any suggested heights for a good jump? I always worry there will be a chance I will survive, or not die instantly. I know it also depends on where you hit when you fall also, but I also just wanted to know good heights for reference.

And also, how do you guys find these buildings? I live in a secluded kinda area and there aren't a lot of tall structures at all. And just opinion wise, do you think night or day would be best? My main issue with public CTB is the possibility of hurting or traumatizing someone minding their own business when I jump. I just assume there wouldn't be as many people out at night.

It depends on where you live. In the U.S. there aren'y many jumpers from buildings since the windows don't open high up generally. Jumping makes up only 3% of u.s. suicides due to issues like this, though it is about 20% in new york city since there are so many tall buildings. There are bridges around the u.s. that are used sometimes, but most areas don't have bridges that are high enough. Some people say ten stories gives you a pretty good chance to ctb, though nothing is 100%- one person survived a fall from 60 stories. I personally would think the odds are really high at 20 stories. In Russia this is the leading cause of suicide since windows open all the way up on many tall buildings.

It might work but this is a height some people survive from. I really don't know the odds here - you might end up paralyzed or have other bad injuries but still survive- I'm not sure what height is enough but I'd be worried from that height.
