it's really wild to me, honestly... the more i think about it, the more surprised i am. i think me probably getting a sjogrens diagnosis is

everyone these days has something wrong with them, physically or mentally. i think that's partially why so many people commit suicide, but that's another point.

how many of you guys have a family member other than yourself that has health issues or mental health issues? probably most of you, right?

when i was growing up, sure i was sad, but i had such a clear view that "oh, i'm gonna be healthy for so long! people don't start getting really sick until they are like, 80, or unless they were born with it!" you were so wrong little me

my sister had some mental health issues but those seem so silly in comparison to the health issues i face now. and my own sad teenager times feel silly and stupid. none of the other family members i know have health issues as severe as mine.

oh wow, i'm in a similar boat as you! it's so hard to be the only person in your family that's suffering so severely. it's so isolating!

i would rather my mental health issues be out of control and miserable than be miserable physically. so many people take their health for granted when in reality they are probably going to be in a similar spot soon. it's just a matter of time.

i hope your issues get better. if you ever need someone to talk to about them, my dms are open. much love! ^_^<3

My health is garbage too. I have chronic fatigue, Hashimoto's, stomach ulcers and a few other minor things. Basically I'm always exhausted and food is hit or miss, along with brain fog and other random offshoot symptoms.

Strangely my family is pretty healthy and I seem to be the odd one out as far as having issues that impact quality of life. Like you I also never expected to be this ill while still relatively young but it's pretty much all a crapshoot and if you're unlucky enough to be saddled with this stuff it's hard to pull yourself out of it mentally or physically.

Bro your right me and my sisters were pretty healthy till like my sister ended with diabetes 1, my other sisters with hyperthyroidism cuz of a stressful event and me with mental issues. Is really shocking

Ofc it impacts theirs and my life differently everyday but is quite shocking how the body can just have something for a lifetime.

Ofc bodies aint perfect and no matter how hard you try to be healthy theres always gonn catch something.

I'm sorry to hear. I was also a normal kid in my young days, now have acid issues with my stomach (don't have money to find out why) and mental illness galore.

I mean we've steered pretty far from how we're supposed to live, biologically speaking. It's suprising how relatively few people are sick when you really think about it. Also a lot of "chronic diseases" are things like hay fever which are easy to treat.
