Wow could you imagine looking down from a place that high? At least you know the death was instant and they got what they wanted.

Jeez imagine what they must have been thinking or feeling while dropping. That feeling of "we are literally about to be no more and there's piss all we can do about it"

It's hard for me to really say much because I like the idea of jumping, and there's a nice finality, almost a sense of romance, about going out with your partner together like that. However, still very shitty for them of course.

From what I've read they were hikers not suicide jumpers. I've been to that spot and posed for that same photo, easy to see how you could fall. I cannot even begin to imagine that drop.

Oh my bad. For some reason I thought they decided to jump.

Beautiful place. If were an American, I'd consider going there. That's a good way to die with a partner.

That's gotta be a horrible trip down, whether or not you're committing suicide.

Not if branches of some ultra tall record breaking tree could help it.

I think it was an accident. It was a couple on their honeymoon. Unlikely time for a doible suicide

Nah. So fast your brain can't process it. It's not some long drop. It's like 2 seconds max.

This is incorrect. You will reach terminal velocity in twelve seconds, after falling about 1,500 feet. The remaining 2,000 feet would be traveled at roughly 120 miles per hour, for another eleven or twelve seconds. Given that they were doubtlessly clutching at one another, that would have increased their drag coefficient even further. So let's say a good twenty-seven to thirty seconds of falling. And screaming.
