They were averaging about +20k/year; about 1,667/month; 56/day; like 2/hour.
and here we are over two years later, not even close to 140k! the average has dropped by 25%!
at the old pace it would have taken roughly 50 years from start of the game to get to a million, current pace closer to 70 (if that had been the pace all along).

i dunno, not sure how you navigate the site but checking a minute ago, the entire "what's new" tab was posts on the main board. looking at most recent on both offtopic and recovery is much, much more mild.
why not do it and see if it makes a difference?

Can't believe I have to say this but.. 0 is much closer to 130K than 1Mil. And hitting 0 will give the same amount of satisfaction as hitting that 1M. If not more. So start backpedaling. Also, technically we probably haven't even hit 100k mark yet. 2021-2022 was a dark era for this thread. Complete anarchy. People were skipping hundreds if not thousands of numbers. I've briefly talked about this before over here.
Let's do some math. Total Game Entries so far: 145,850. Current Count: 130,612.
If U is the number of up moves and D is the number of down moves, U + D = 145,850 and U - D = 130,612
U = (145850+130612)/2 = 138,231
D = (145850-130612)/2 = 7619
From that:
Up moves: 138,231 (94.8%)
Down moves: 7619 (5.2%)
I refuse to believe that only 5.2% of entries here have counted down. These numbers simply cannot exist in a real world. If these numbers are correct then it is the closest we've ever come to world peace.
The 'predictions' that you have been doing are based on a corrupted and unreliable data biased towards positive numbers.
There is no Easter Bunny, there is no Tooth Fairy, and there is no reaching One Million.

That analysis forgets one simple fact: humans trend towards order. I can't believe I have to say this, but recall Twitch Plays Pokémon. Watch the trend continue.
Also, who's to say if we went up by thousands of numbers incorrectly, we did not also go down by thousands incorrectly?
