Sometimes, I have the impression that we are part of something greater that decided to fragment itself to experience itself. And in a way — spoiler for the absurd — it's as if we had chosen this existence as if it were a roleplay we forgot is just a mere game, taking it too seriously. Could it be that in this game of Lila (or cosmic illusion), the one who remembers what it truly is… wins? As if it were a game against time.

Yes, that's a very common and fascinating idea.
The profundity and breadth of existence, the unimaginable scale at which everything happens and the positive and negative emotions that it causes, the alien experiences which take place; all of this can only be truly appreciated from... outside of existence. But how can that happen? Existence encompasses everything.
When you are literally everything, you don't really have a reason to pursue any agenda. Hurt others? What for, that's just self-harm. Help others? But there is a part of you that actively wishes to harm others and derives pleasure from it.

The solution is simply to create things that don't have perfect awareness of it. Create a so-called universe, with so-called people, experiencing so-called tragedies, such as so-called death. The divine experience that is desired through spirituality is in fact the process of returning to the whole, to God. Feelings like wonder, curiosity, pain, love, happiness, sadness, lust; all of these things are just part of the world's inner self. When we die, we give up the illusions of our mortality, and the matter comprising us (even though "us" doesn't really even exist; we are just fragments of a giant pattern) returns to the place that it never left. I think, if one truly awoke to the nature of the whole, it would be akin to a vegetable state.

Time, too, is partly illusory. It does not have a fixed "speed" or "rate". Everything moves through it at a different pace. Time on the Sun is a few tiny percents faster than on Earth. Dogs experience time 20% slower than we do, so even though they only live for about 10-13 years, to them they lived for 12-15. Cold-blooded animals experience time to go faster or slower depending on their internal body temperature.
The "speed of time" is an illusion of perception. There is only the constant changing state of matter, which is, in itself, timeless; time emerges from it, not the other way around. Emergence and change are concepts that fabricate time, rather than concepts that time fabricates.
Every moment, imperceptible Planck-instants or even less, there is an infinity of changes happening around us in a space even as tiny as our very rooms right now; if there's one thing that the universe absolutely hates and will not permit under any circumstance, it's stasis. Stagnation. There's no true inertia, anywhere.

Human conflicts and pettiness really feel so worthless and unimportant when you take all these things into account, at least for me... It makes me feel peaceful and calm.

Nothing is apart from God, and this perfect non-separation is seen as a form of 'intimacy' with the divine. It's not that YOU specifically are loved; it's that you are not, and you cannot be, apart from infinity. The divine is the total condition of all being, and to be "loved" more precisely means to be absolutely held and absolutely known, which you always are, as per the nature of divine omnipotence.
What they essentially wanted to say with this back then but summarized as 'attachment'/'love' is that there is never any privacy from God, and no escape or rejection of it is possible even if you think it is, because being part of everything, it is always with you. This is what it means to know that you will never be alone; and that is technically a form of 'love', isn't it? It is God that torments you, and God that pleases you.

Of course, the idea of that is horrifying to a typical human, which is why priests and preachers skirted around it extremely hard when imparting gospel to the masses. Mystics revealed these ideas and then passed it to priests, who were charged with the task of taking the complex and confusing ideas of the mystics and boiling it down into understandable terms for commoners (this was especially hard because philosophy was often written in Greek, and the regional lingua franca, Aramaic, simply did not have any terms that conveyed the ideas which could be communicated in Greek). So, they did what they could with the most commonly understood and closely analogous words of the time. Attachment became love. No one would want to convert if you opened with: "GOD IS THE EMBODIMENT OF EVERYTHING, AND YOU ARE HELPLESS TO RESIST!".

Anyway... All of this is a big part of why, mostly in early mystic texts, there was a big theme around cosmic ecstasy and bliss being ego-dissolving. They actually came up with a term for this a lot later on in Jewish Kabbalah; it's a concept called 'Devekut', which roughly refers to being cleaved, or merged. This 'love' is your ego death, the unity of your soul with the divine to create something new and qualitatively better as you merge closer and closer to this source of unity (God).
That shit perfectly encapsulates, in an almost too-perfect way, the entire process of what my personal trauma did to me and how I feel about the perpetrators.

I think we are merely entropic beings. We create local order but globally increase the wear and tear of forces. Life exists only to spend the sun's energy, which without us would be almost entirely reflected back into space. The arrow of time moves with entropy, so we are merely temporal beings. Pain is the effect of energy expenditure. To want to be alive is to know that you will never be able to rest or find fulfillment, because inertia means death—at least for the fragmented and individuated consciousness. But our matter continues to be recycled until all useful work is exhausted.

The strangest thing is that it seems the universe itself is in a hurry to die. We use more and more energy... but I think the universe gives a reboot.

What was the game roughly about, if you remember?
War.

We were fighting an invading army. Was scary, but also kind of fun.

I actually used to be Buddhist, I was born one

I agree about rebooting; I think Cosmological Reset Theory makes a lot of sense, considering what we know about chaos and quantum physics. Plus, we already have a lot of valid theories about pre-Big Bang cosmology. M-Theory and F-Theory, for one. Our laws of physics are not necessarily the only ones...

Damn, that does sound hella fun. What I wouldn't give to get to live a masculine power fantasy like going apeshit on a crowd of peasants as a mounted knight in full plate...

Pretty sure there's two very specific types of people who watch that kind of stuff... For two very specific, different reasons.

It does seem calming, though. I just personally tend to crave more thoughtful substance than eye and ear candy when I'm watching content.

Sometimes my brain works in analog mode, and I watch videos like this to recalibrate my mind back. It relaxes me, and the simple, repetitive rhythm with well-synced images helps my mind regain focus.
P.S. I was listening to this song on loop while soldering the wire of my headset (I can't buy a new one, and I don't know how to solder either), and I managed to focus. I burned my fingers, but I got it done.

That makes sense. It seems very sweet.
I do get something similar; if I spend a very long time in deep thought, I start to feel completely disconnected from my body and unaware of the world around me, and I exist only inside of my mind. What happens in front of my eyes doesn't even register. It's such a dream-like trance state; calming, but curious and a little suffocating. It always feels somewhat liberating when I return to normal, but it's also when I'm able to think and theorize at my fullest capacity.
