it's funny how in english people say "a neet" even though the acronym describes a state of being and isn't a noun, despite being used as one. "i'm a not in education, employment or training". we could have left out the "a" and it'd make more sense and same time and effort, which linguistically is advantageous.

I've thought about it before, I think other languages must do that, too. Phonetics aren't my forte but wouldn't it because neat/neet sounds the same? Just saying 'I'm neet' would feel weird? no? am I wrong on phonetics? maybe.
Wikipedia also says 'A NEET'
