something that's super unsettling to me is how when using search engines now, so much of the content is AI generated aside from even the engine's AI. there are all these garbage websites full of pure AI articles, written by fake people (with either obviously fake portraits, or pictures of other people) and sometimes those are referenced in the engine's AI summary.

I am quite annoyed at that too... I have to skim-check an article for the "AI feel"... or use time filters to only get pre-2023 results.
