It's from a song called "Os Barcos" by Legião Urbana. I like this song because it reminds me of someone, and also because it's very well-crafted in Portuguese.Did you write it?
Thank you! This would be lyrical prose, in the form of a romantic soliloquy. Also, wow, I've never had anything published... You had more success than I ever did, ha.I love wordplay too. I used to write poems, some of them are published, but I've kind of fallen out of it...
I rarely ever speak or use my native language anymore, only English and Mandarin now.
That is a really good... Poem...? Stanza...? Testament...? Idk what type of literature you would call it.
I think in English, Mandarin and Japanese dependent on what the situation calls for, mostly129,549

I'm good at using my native language for everyday functioning, but that's about all I use it for. I struggle to use it to express complex ideas. Really, I've forgotten quite a lot of it, I even think in primarily English and French...
That's interesting. I hadn't noticed that the mind could switch languages — until one day I was listening to a podcast for over 20 minutes and only then realized it was in Spanish.I think in English, Mandarin and Japanese dependent on what the situation calls for, mostly
