I take 200mg of pristiq / desvenlafaxine.... I feel like for the past 2 years my mood has been at a 0.5 / 10. And I think that last 0.5 is just my survival instinct. The only reason I haven't ctb yet is because SI is too strong for me and I guess also my antidepressants keep me just alive.
I wonder if I stopped taking the antidepressants would it be enough to plummet/spiral down and become sad enough to override my SI?

Sorry to see u suffer ... SI is a real bitch and the only reason I m still here. But like u said may be stopping ur antidepressants could be the answer as it may just push u to take the final step...

Why dont you try? It could be dangerous sure, but if you think things are getting out of control you always can start them again.

No, I do not think Antidepressants have impact on your SI.
I think your SI will perhaps be even stronger without antidepressants, since they (some) lessen the neural
activity/tension (which is high when you feel anxiety etc.)
I am not a doctor though!

I've been through plenty of SSRI withdrawals, although they did have a significant impact on my mood, SI wasn't really affected. I did have one serious (obviously failed) attempt with minimal SI with the help of quetiapine (antipsychotic that is also used as a sleeping aid) and pregabalin. I also think benzos would help minimise SI if you can get a hold of them

It sounds like maybe you want your emotions to have power and control since you do not have the power to achieve what you want. But then are they likely even then to do what you want them to?
