Method Cortid Artery

So working on partial hanging/ night night for CTB
How do I find my Carotid Artery?!
Also cause I've been trying to pass out using my fingers to find the right spot
I've found it a couple times but I just sort of black in and then I can see again but I never actually pass out? How do I do it
As for partial hanging, do I want a noose or a smaller knot?

The pulse on your neck is the carotid artery.

A noose isn't a knot, it's what slips over your head to go around your neck.
