Droplets of rain rest on the faces like tears

I don't want to go into details about politics and what not, but I hate the news. It feels impossible to avoid, especially since I have family in a conflict zone (I was born in the US, lucky me). Can't even go in Wikipedia without hearing about another recent tragedy . I stumbled across a news article about more sad news from my families country and I began to panic. (Please don't ask for details on which country it is, I really don't wanna talk about it šŸ˜“). I rarely find other people who are suicidal like me because of what's happening to other people. I live comfortably in the US, but I feel so much guilt for people who were born in 3rd world countries, poorer families, and in conflict zones. It's not fair. It doesn't help that my dad wakes me up every morning by watching the news from said country at such a high volume, I feel like going deaf because the amount of times I've had to quickly put my headphones and in a panic to block out the noise. My ears are quite literally sore at the moment.

And it doesn't help that the world feels like it's getting progressively worst. It's not a matter of if something bad will happen, but when.

our ancestors had it way worst than us and they still lived through it. How?

I agree. The world is not doing well right now (never really has). A lot of people just put on brave faces and just try to weather out the storm (literally and metaphorically). Self preservation of the species is another big factor. Over 8 billion on the planet testifies to that.
