The PPH (2022) does not mention clotiazepam (not clonazepam) as a supplementary premedication for the SN method, but I'm assuming it could help similarly. My question is threefold:

1. What do you think about using clotiazepam with the SN method?
2. Would 300mg be enough to offset discomfort?
3. How long before or after SN should it be taken? The PPH suggests taking the sedative right after SN, but wouldn't that be too late to feel the sedative effects in time?

Thank you

Shouldn't be a problem, use a drug interaction checker to make sure.

2. Would 300mg be enough to offset discomfort?
Unsure, a practical way to find out ( if you have enough clotiazepam supply ) is trying 300mg or several different dosages to see how to feel, go with an amount that makes you somewhat sedated but not too strong that you'll pass out or impair your executive function.

3. How long before or after SN should it be taken? The PPH suggests taking the sedative right after SN, but wouldn't that be too late to feel the sedative effects in time?
Agreed, taking sedatives right after wouldn't maximize the effects, therefore take it before, again trial test several different dosages and mark down the time when effects starts kicking in and adjust time accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply.

I think I'll take between 10 to 30mg spread in the hours before CTB. I have tested 10mg and it makes me very relaxed, so 30mg should be more than enough to alleviate anxiety. I will take the rest just after SN as per the PPH's instructions, just to be sure.

I only have 300mg, which is a full box with 30 tablets, So I think I'll test how I feel with 30mg in order to make sure, as you pointed out, I don't lose my executive function before taking SN.
