closest friend here disappeared

When I first joined I wasn't really looking to make friends or talk to anyone in private, I didn't want any more social obligations. But I quickly bonded with someone and we ended up chatting on here fairly consistently for a couple weeks. And then one day they stopped and I haven't heard from them or seen them on here for a few weeks. And it's bittersweet. You hope they found a reason to stop coming, you hope their life turned around or something amazing happened. At the very least you hope they found their peace, you hope they aren't suffering anymore. I didn't plan on really making any connections here but life is strange sometimes. Just late night thoughts.

I can definitely see that.

There was this one thread, titled "[I feel] SaSu is killing me." by a long-time user named Holu. In it they talk about their experience of how confused they feel after experiencing two back-to-back deaths of users they knew very closely on the forum. I find it a greatly enlightening read.
