Wouldn't it be possible to just put a rope around your kneck positioned on the cartoid artery and tighten it as much as possible without using partail or full suspension?
Your question doesn't make much sense, as it's not possible to put a rope only on the carotid artery. If your goal is to just tighten a rope around your neck then of course the carotid artery will be constricted, so if that is the case why even mention the carotid artery.
There have also been cases of people just simply using ligatures (1 or 2 combined) tied around the neck with out even a tourniquet-or turning tool mechanism-though I think this is very rare of course-and there was that case of that old man that simply rested his neck against the arm of chair-and that worked! Can't remember where I saw that now. crazy it worked
