We see that many users dont understand the proper location to press on the carotid artery.
We will try to keep this is simple as possible.
The artery has two branches on each side. The branch starts just above the Adam's apple. The internal branch supplies blood to the brain. The external brach supplies blood to the face. If you try to block the artery near your jaw you'll likely fail due to the fact it's so deep. The best place to block the artery is right by the Adam's apple. The two muscles in the front on your neck that make a v cover the artery so make sure your to the inside of them, towards your Adam's apple. See picture.
