I know this is a topic which is discussed a lot on here. I think (maybe) I've located my carotid arteries - I feel a very strong pulse there. However, when I press with my fingers nothing happens (apart from my neck hurting). How much pressure should I be applying as maybe it's just not enough. Like should I be pressing as hard as possible?

No. You don't need much force. Are you pressing from both sides? Remember that it's close to the windpipe, right at the side

Yeah both sides. I've tried pressing in with my thumb on one side and my index finger on the other but no luck. I've tried squeezing with my thumb one side and the rest of my fingers the other. My vision went slightly blurry the last time I did it but that was it. I stopped as I just seemed to be hurting my neck. How much force should I be needing to use?

I think I know what might be happening, try pressing at a lower point, maybe you're constrict just the external or the internal carotids.

I'm sure I read on the megathread for partial you could. I know the second you black out you'll come around since the pressure won't be applied

Trust me you can't, I've tried partial 20 times and only times I passed out was using a rope, idk who started that lie but it needs to be changed

I read that the hands will start weakening before being able to pass out, but I'm sure the same signs of starting to pass out would happen

You don't need much pressure, just that it is difficult to find.

I found it earlier today in the morning while choking myself at work, but now I can't seem to find it when I got home.
With the cornhole bags just arrived today, I had a hard time trying to test it out as I now need to find it again and stick the cornhole bags there.
