As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.
So I found my carotid arteries and I can feel them pulsing, but no matter how hard I push them down I won't pass out?? I'm not over weight or anything but my arteries literally will not close. Does anyone have any idea what is happening?
Yeah same here. I managed to do it before, but my body suddenly just gave me the middle finger and now my shit won't close, so now I may or may not be stuck :/
Plus, there's a lot of pressure in the arteries (as opposed to veins) and it's probably hard to close them off entirely, plus, blood flow could get to the areas in other ways (I think).
It would be extremely difficult (if not impossible) to pass out from using your hands alone. You would need a lot of pressure and before you start to pass out you would automatically remove your hands no matter how strong your willpower is. I do wonder how much neck muscles play in this. I do neck exercises every day due to stiff neck so don't know if it would make it easier or harder.
yeah I'm having trouble with this too. the master thread about it doesn't really go into detail about how to test it with your hands alone. and on a somewhat related note, why does the thread recommend the slipknot instead of the hangman knot? I've tried both, and, in matters where it's relevant, they function almost identically. is it just based on preference, or am I missing something?

There is certainly more "friction" between the rope that "slips" and the "loops" in a hangman's knot, as compared to just a single loop slip knot. So, I'm thinking that a hangman's knot might not tighten up and work correctly for a lighter weight person. But, a simple slip knot would work for anyone. And it's way simpler for people to just make a simple slip knot. There's more "art" in making a hangman's knot, especially one that functions correctly. Just a thought.

People dont pass out by compressing their carotid arteries, but by stimulating the baroreflex which leads to a drop in blood pressure. Beside you carotid, the veterbral arteries carry blood to your brain and can compensate for a carotid occlusion, making unconscious impossible
