Basically, like always my luck is terrible.
I started college and my course is split into 3 groups. In my group, people have already started making friends and I don't have anyone to talk to.

in the other group, I have made lots of friends, but there aren't enough spaces so I can't switch. We have lectures at different times so I rarely see them and since I barely know them, I know the friendship won't last.

my plan is to meet people outside of college, through Tinder, gym, work etc. I just want a group of people I can hang out with, go to bars, nightclubs, holidays etc. Just to be a normal young person.
I really don't see myself making any more friends in my small, mediocre college for the time being so I think i'll just have to see it as a place of study and nothing more.

Will I be ruining my experience this way or is what I do outside of college, mainly on weekends going to count as the "college experience"?

I don't think i'll be able to if I don't have a heathy social life. I didn't in secondary school, which is why i'm not in the best college now. You know what they say - work hard, play hard

I have no idea what fun is. Meet people outside of the college if that is what you want to do. I don't see how it can ruin the experience. I have no good advice but I wish you the best.

I'm currently in college and have gotten absolutely nowhere. Personally, I feel like if I can not find success at university, then I will most likely not make it on the out side world. Uni gives you the options, rescourses and and environment to find success, giving you the easiest opportunities to make friends, apply yourself, and be productive. If I cant even do those things here then there is no future for me.

Just don't forget the reason you're in school. It's to make something of your life, just keep your priorities clear and you'll be okay
