I don't want peace of mind, I'm beyond that. I want absolute peace aka nothingness and it's only possible once you're dead. So for me death = peace.
So you are talking to a pillow? NURSE!!I did try to communicate and compromise with the pillow! It was not receptive. I need to be rehabilitated, not punished. :(

And one can equate non-existence with peace, anyway... peace by definition is the absence of disturbance.
"I don't want someone expecting..."
You know, some of the members here grow close to each other and care for each other. A peace wish is the last good bye and certainly does not create a disclosure about suicide. This is how you feel about somebody and care, not just type a few characters on a keyboard. I think we are here together, not against each other. If you don't want to do it, don't do it. But please don't judge or dictate those who want to. After all, we are a community here.I know it's a nice saying, but for all we know, death isn't peace, death isn't anything. You don't achieve peace of mind by destroying it, just like you don't fix a computer by throwing it in the trash. It creates an unhealthy discourse about suicide. Thank you.
Completely agree. I dumbfounded at times with the selfishness I see in goodbye posts.I'd much rather see an end to the desperate info grilling in goodbye threads than worry about what figures of speech people use.
It's horrible. Like... seriously people? It's possibly the last minutes of a person's life and they're maybe feeling scared and lonely, and you want them to waste time doing a Q&A session for your curiosity?Completely agree. I dumbfounded at times with the selfishness I see in goodbye posts.
They really should have their own show dontcha think?!@Stan @woxihuanni You guys are a riot. I love you
AbsolutelyThey really should have their own show dontcha think?!
very well said. What would you like everyone to say? I'm just saying what I feel. If people find it annoying they don't have to read it. My intentions are always good. Many of us have no peace in our lives so that is why we say it.
Your anology is flawed. We aren't trying to fix our lives by killing ourselves. We are trying to escape our problems , or no longer to deal with them by kling ourselvesI know it's a nice saying, but for all we know, death isn't peace, death isn't anything. You don't achieve peace of mind by destroying it, just like you don't fix a computer by throwing it in the trash. It creates an unhealthy discourse about suicide. Thank you.
Let's just write whatever we want to write. I'm not changing for anyone.I don't mean to discredit anyones sympathy and everyone is allowed to day what they want, but if you go killing yourself expecting peace, you're going to be disappointed, at least for all we know. Maybe we could say 'sorry it has come to this' or something.
