Can someone please help me determine the best place to aim to ctb?

I've read that the temple and inside of the mouth aren't the best spots.

I've read that behind the ear is the most successful place.

I've got a 357 magnum revolver. I'm just looking for some advice from people that have looked this method up before. Thanks.

I definitely agree with reading up on it yourself, since the right method could be subjective for people; whether you want to experience immediate death upon trigger, or would rather die while paralyzed (which... imo is not ideal, but to each their own).

My apologies, I probably phrased that wrongly. I am usually meaning people who shoot incorrectly, leading to them being paralyzed and drowning from pooling blood.
I'm unsure if it's common, but I've heard and read about it happening before. It seems pretty terrifying to me.

I have.
I think SI might be too high for me with that method, too hard (for me at least) to pull the trigger.
Nitrogen + exit bag is my plan A.
SN is my plan B.

I've seen many SN suicide videos and they were never pleasant. I would hope the end of my life would be peaceful and without misery. But SN doesn't seem to be that way. Constant vomiting and panicking from the videos I've seen.

Yeah, I've seen them. I didn't think what I saw was panic as much as just discomfort. I hear you. That's why it is not my plan A.

I'm right with you on this method. SI is the final hurdle.

I won't give exact instructions, as others have said there is plenty of information in the guns megathread, but Christine Chubbuck reached out to police and coroners to figure out which spot was most effective to shoot, and it certainly worked for her. If there's a will, there's a way, and there are many others who have come before you and done it right and done it wrong.

I won't directly tell you what to do or what you should do in terms of execution of things... but just be like Christine and do your research. Be careful.
