Where I live people didn't even heard about SN yet and it's not, by far, a popular method.
You can get SN easily and CHEAP 99% (6$ 500g) at the most popular markets. But I'm afraid this might change with time and popularization?
My question is, is there any issue if I buy it now, maintain the bag close as to have it as a "emergency supply" or will the lifespan lose it's properties over time? I couldn't really find anyone talking about it's lifespan (just AFTER you pour water in it but I was wondering about keeping it)

it will last decades if stored properly. there might be slight potency degradation but it shouldn't affect a ctb attempt. A best before date is to ensure product quality not that the med/chemical is expired. most chemicals last long past their "expiration". In fact, militaries actually buy expired meds because they are cheap and are still just as good as new.

it can lost properties only if it's storaged on the air for long time, SN goes with reaction with oxygen and oxidizes in sodium nitrate far less effective substance than SN, process is similar as iron rusting. they use airtight packaging and i guess package is vacuumed before it goes to customers, it's certainly case for labaratory grade SN but technical grade permits slighty amount of adulterants, though i don't think it's significant as technical grade SN purity labeled as of 98%. it can be storaged on the open air but not for long time and better in a closed jar in a darkened place with a low level humidity, as of water dilluted form it's hard to tell but oxygen enters and dillutes in water anyway and some microorganisms are capable to turn SN in nitrate, as it happen in aquariums

Store in a tightly closed container with a desiccant, in a cool dry area.
