before anyone tries.. im not asking for a link to the nonmethods thread. please dont waste my time with that bs. either give me a nice explanation, or leave me alone. thank you.

if i am capable of cutting my thigh/arm deep enough, would it be unreasonable to cut open my neck too? i am 180% sure of my want to attempt, i will not back out. i have not backed put of any other attempt, the others just plain didnt work. SI isnt going to be an issue. i can cut myself deep.

my question is if it's unreasonable to cut open a caroid. i will cut like so:
Untitled3 20251012223936
i will cut hard and deep. my concerns are the muscle interfering with my ability to slit them, since they'll be tense from stress or SI. im also considering cutting this/these:
Untitled4 20251012224503
i cant afford to slit my wrists as i have a job and i would be SWIFTLY fired in short notice. if you're asking why id be alright with my neck but not wrists, if i had the risk of scars on my neck, id quickly finish the job with no hesitation. no matter how many cuts, id make sure to clock out.

anyway, you can sense my frustration after MULTIPLE failed attempts in such close proximity, and with my financial situation i genuinely cannot afford another week of living. i need something quick and accessible. again, im not looking for a list of nonmethods. i can cut, and i can cut deep, i just need to know it works before i make a fool of myself. and im most certainly not pulling up to work with two slits on my carotids or a bandage around my neck. no, i dont have any turtlenecks. thanks anyway.

no, i dont have an anchor for full suspension. including the door method. partial suspension hasnt been effective and i doubt it ever will,,, for anyone. ligature strangulation will not budge on my carotids... ive tried corhole bags, knots, a stick, even on its own. nothing has worked. SWB hasnt either, which i never had much hope for.. oh well. i just really dont know where to go from here. im not in the position to obtain any nitrites, so please none of those suggestions.

please help me. im on the brink of doing something stupid just for the off-chance of killing myself.

No. Your neck is much more sensitive than your wrists. Plus, it would take hours to pass. Have literally seen a video where a dude managed to record himself as his throat slit was leaking out.

i won't hammer it in too hard since i'm sure you're aware of that at least, and I don't doubt that you are able to cut deep enough to muscle if you're going so far as to aim for this method but you have a way higher chance of just giving yourself a disability (already impacting your ability to work regardless) rather than dying. i wouldn't call this method quick or accessible

^ about the leg one, since the prev user summarized why the neck idea would be a bad idea

Yes, in theory you could totally do it. But it would be extremely and needlessly painful. There's a good reason its considered a non-method, please don't do that

No.

(This is in response to whether it's reasonable.)

The reason it is not reasonable is that often people survive such attempts and you don't want major scars that would interfere with work. And even if you think you would not survive, on the whole that's a method people often survive from, even if they have serious intent. So no, it's not a reasonable thing to try.

unfortunately, i think cutting open your neck would be just that. according to this study, only 16% of fatal cut-throat injuries are suicides. in this case (TW: injury pictures), the dude survived for 18 hours w/o medical help and eventually fully recovered. tbf, in his instance, there was "transected anterior jugular veins [but] no other major vascular injury", i.e. the cartoids remained intact. that being said, the only successful case i saw during my (albeit limited) research was this (again TW: pictures), and that was with a guy who slit throats for a living (slaughterhouse employee). hope you can reconsider, and ultimately wishing you peace

You're imaginative, I never thought about that. But I think our carotid is way too deep. You'd have to butcher your neck
