Can drinking propofol cause death? Or do I have to inject it?

Not really. It's only used to knock you out short term and then the anesthesic can be given. You could use this with the partial method as it would relax you and you wouldn't be aware of what's happening.

propfol is very hard to od on. thats why doctors steal stuff from the hospital to get high. it is really safe. but ofcourse yku cluld do it. it just wont be easy

Propofol is widely used by anesthesiologists and hospital personnel to commit suicide. But outside of the operating rooms and ICUs it is very difficult to obtain. And it should be given intravenously, not by drinking it.

It's very short acting, at least when given intravenously, your liver clears that stuff in like ten minutes. That's why they love to use if for short procedures like endoscopy. You come around pretty quick and don't feel nausea and all that.

Sorry that's not true. Many nurses and doctors died with doses of 50-100mg, which they took just to get some sleep. Propofol is a drug with a very small margin of safety. When the airway collapses, without ventilation, you die.

I'm a medical professional and , yes, you can OD on propofol. I'm not sure about drinking it but if you run it wide open through an IV, you will go into respiratory arrest. It is a strong sedative used in the critical care setting with ventilatory support. It is not an easy drug to get ahold of so I'm not sure how realistic it is to do this.

I'm a medical professional and , yes, you can OD on propofol. I'm not sure about drinking it but if you run it wide open through an IV, you will go into respiratory arrest. It is a strong sedative used in the critical care setting with ventilatory support. It is not an easy drug to get ahold of so I'm not sure how realistic it is to do this.

this is so unfair!! if I would have known I would become suicidal in the future I would go to vet/med school just to obtain this. but I didnt forsee it and now I am not functional enough to go. this should just be legal already but they'd rather see people jump in front of trains than to give them access to a peaceful passing. yes that makes soo much sense

It's about drinking propofol. Not IV. The oral bioavailability of propofol is negligible 2.7%. Therefore, you would have to drink a very large amount for it to cause orl-related death.
