Update:

I decided to test the theory that an app could affect the metadata of a photo and it DOES. Granted I have IOS and the OP seemingly had an Android device of the sort. I can't replicate exactly what the OP used in terms of a particular app but one app I found on the app store was able to change the metadata completely just from a photo edit.

I took a photo of my fan, uploaded it to a metadata viewer website and confirmed the info was correct, then proceeded to edit the photo in a random third-party photo editor, uploaded the new photo and all the metadata was modified.

Keep in mind Android is more open source than IOS so this is definitely a possibility depending on the app used by OP.

Tha's interesting. Did you change the meta data on purpose on the edit or did it come about accidentally?

No, I used an app to add text on the photo and it looks like the app generated a new version of the photo with new metadata information.

This leads me to believe it's completely possible that this might be the case.

And before you start accusing me of being the OP, as I've mentioned before, I DO NOT support him and have in fact called him out before.

I see, did it change the location data as well?

Are you suggesting the person in this thread was a scammer or bullshitter? You, yourself, suggested he was without an ounce of proof. https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...i-plan-on-drinking-it-in-10-20-minutes.12329/

Wait. What?

You mean this?

I've seen a few where they return under a new account to watch others grieve for them. Anyway...

This could be genuine, in which case l hope it went as well for him/her as possible, but I'd consider it deeply unwise for anyone to accept these types of posts, and similar ones elsewhere, as absolute evidence of the workings of a method.

You think posting that is somehow inappropriate? If so, that's ridiculous.

The location data did change from the original photo.

Thanks, this could mean we don't know the whole story yet and only @Vaughn can put any doubt to rest by explaining what actually happened.

Does the location data change by 9000 miles? Genuine question - obviously rough distance from Thailand to Mexico

Oh, no my dear, you must be mistaken. She was frolicking about at a Pokemon Go ex raid event just a few hours ago. She's quite okay.

@Minudah was??? But she's in chronic pain and can barely move??

Strange.

She never answered my question either about whether she or her friend @Vaughn went to Mexico?

Oh you didn't think she was telling you the TRUTH, did you? Come on, Nearly Done, don't be so naive. We've already established that there's a hydra here with about 8 different alts.

I kinda agree. While I definitely get the creeps from this Vaughn guy and have felt something was very off about him from the beginning, we really don't know for sure.
Especially since image editing software can alter the "location". Perhaps it is the same location where the app was developed?
Also, why would a receipt - in Spanish, with Mexican currency, be from Thailand?

Found my Google Pixel XL, I haven't turned it on in almost half a year so it's just sitting there pinging with notifications. I'll download a few photo editor apps and report back with my results.

Thks for doing this. In your past experiment, did the location data change to a completely different country?

But he disappeared very quickly and hasn't returned as he is concerned about a few things

It did not change to a different country but it was just one App and on a different OS than OP. Currently waiting for 150+ apps to update on my android device before it'll allow me to download a photo editing app.

I'm just joking, of course. I'm sure you're a well meaning individual just looking for relief. There are a lot of self-absorbed people on this forum who get their rocks off by questioning the intentions of desperate people who just seek understanding and consideration. Nothing more.

There are a significant number of relatively recent interactions on this site which prove this statement to be, if I'm being kind, extremely naive.

Nobody's counting, but that's the second time you've called me naive ( no need to to wring your hands about being "nice") I could really care less though, seeing as I was merely expressing my subjective experience of things.
