if he wins, I'm out. I don't want to find out what his "surprises" are. so I'm ordering some SN and as soon as the outcome is called for him I'm 41%ing myself. could use some encouragement to get past the SI, sure it'll be there if I post on Twitter that I'm doing it tho

Killing myself because a politician (any politician) won an election would be, for me, just adding to their victory. Perhaps your greatest revenge on such a politico would be to stay alive just to spite them.
In any event, whatever your decision I respect it and wish you well.
this isn't about spite or winning or losing - this is about the fact that he's invoking Hitler and alluding to "surprises" and I'm not interested in sticking around for it. I'd rather die at my own hand early than by someone else's after months of suffering. it'll also be easier for my wife to flee if I'm not here holding her back - she'll need every resource she can get.

If you didn't kill yourself to flee a world with a pedo president who abused his own daughter... if you didn't kill yourself when Trump wanted to vax everyone at superspeed without safety protocols... why now.

I don't even live in the US and I find Trump to be exhausting! The guy is just stupid and vile. I just don't know how anybody could support that devil.

They're brainwashed. Many republicans don't support him and now don't see a place in their own party. Turns out fooling millions upon millions is very easy

True, it's definitely a mind control cult. If Trump and his family could sell bottles of his own piss, a lot of his followers would bathe in it (if they could afford it). He is the ultimate Con Man. I blame the Apprentice producers for creating that monster!

Project 2025 is legit. It will be all bad for the USA and the world. If you haven't watched The Handmaid's Tale yet on Hulu, it's worth watching. It's exactly what Project 2025 is planning for. Christo-fascism takeover.
I'm not american but this sounds like the same fearmongering I heard in 2016. Even with the 2017 Handmaids tale protests. And all the celebrities saying they'd leave the country if he was elected but did nothing when he was lol.

And then abortion got banned in half the country with other rights clearly on the chopping block as set forth in Justice Thomas's concurring opinion. It's not fearmongering. It's a very real possibility.

Because he's found a very simple formula for winning in politics. (1) create an evil "boogyman"; (2) tell people why that boogyman is evil; (3) broadly and without details or evidence tell people that the boogyman is to blame for all their life's woes; and (4) tell people that he's the only one who can save them from the boogyman.
In this case, the "boogyman" is illegal immigrants, the 0.0001% of transgender women who want to play in women's sports or use the bathroom that correlates with their gender, drag queens, and, of course, all those pesky "after-birth abortions" that are taking place.
It's basically politics by division and fear. Basically, "we love Trump because he hates who we hate." Regrettably, there are a lot of rather simpleminded people in this country who fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

This is the same thing I'm going for, but I'm kinda treating it like a coinflip, bc that's what the media says (though they might just be lying, but idc at this point.) If this guy gets voted into power again - i swear- my hope in humanity will simply vaporize. I don't want to live in a world where this guy off all people gets his happy little fantasy fulfilled. Nah, I'm outta here within the first year of him in office. Going for march 2025 if he wins. If he doesn't, maybe I'll bother getting my shit together. Maybe chomping on some shrooms will get me some new perspectives (plus it seems hella fun, even if it's a shitty trip.) Atm, I'll just be glad the anxiety of the whole ordeal is over. Regardless of who wins, I'll have a plan moving forwards.
As a sidenote, I'm basically betting my life on one candidate, so it adds some extra excitement, but also anxiety to the election results. Something about it simply feels fun(?) of all things. Idfk I'm just slightly deranged.

6 years later when he was no longer president. So why would anyone ctb as soon as he's elected as opposed to whenever laws start taking place? There's always a chance that the laws aren't enacted. It just makes no sense to me to wait until an election result to ctb.
Hey homie, i live in the US too. I don't really support Kamala or Trump. Although im gonna vote for Kamala because although she supports the genocide in Palestine, shes still the better option. Now if you don't fuck with trump, i get it but can't you and your wife move? Like its better than killing yourself over that crazy orange man. Why not move to Canada or Europe or anywhere really. You can move, thats an option my friend. Please reconsider.
The thing people need to realize is that there are no choices, ALL politicians are part of an elite class that only cares about money and keeping the charade up. People fight over left or right instead of uniting and claiming what is theirs from all those rich cheaters who steals from us.

It doesn't matter that much who gets in, nothing is really going to change. It'll be same old as soon as the elections over. Not worth getting worked up over partisan politics.

I wonder if some country would grant us asylum as refugees? I know that sounds overdramatic to Trump supporters, but it's more dangerous for some of us than others.
I probably wouldn't have the money, guts, or energy to leave the country either way. But, maybe.

Honestly, a part of me now kind of wishes that I lived in a timeline where Biden and Trump are just a normal gay couple enjoying each other's company instead of politicians.

I'm more curious how you were able to get SN in this country, as far as I knew there were no sources or legit sources left that ship in the US. And the last time I tried to buy some the guy took my cash and ran
As a transgender woman there is nothing good about Trump winning this election for me or any of the Republicans that follow his ideas. It is already not safe and I have never felt I belonged in this world well before Trump - so this wouldn't help.

All politicians are corrupt and working for the same people, themselves. If your gonna kill yourself over Trump winning, then you may as well do it now since the end result will be the same no matter who is supposedly in charge. They will get richer, you will get poorer, and the wheel of feudalism will continue to spin like it always has.
