• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

We did it. I had my doubts, but the bill has got the green light to move forward through the usual channels, committee debates and amendments and finally, should eventually become enshrined in law as lawfully assistance in dying if ,3rd reading passes. Obviously, the usual caveats apply. Right now its not lawful but my mind is in party mood not just for me but for all other people who suffer awfully with diseases, I feel that my options have become enlightened in a sea of darkness.

It's just so terrible and cruel to me how it's not already legalised even know there is no limit as to how much one can suffer in this existence that was imposed in the first place, I wish there's acceptance towards preferring non-existence over the burden of human existence that is so futile and torturous to me. More than anything I wish I was never forced into this existence, I should be able to save myself from all future unnecessary suffering by ceasing to exist.

I was so happy about this. It's the start of something. I really hope over time it extends and becomes what it needs to be - the right to a painless quick death for all consenting adults of sound mind.

Being in the UK, I'd love if this was as it sounds, however our present government have broken so many commitments already in just 4 months or so, I have great reservations.
The Bill will now be kicked into the long grass of Committee Stage to further discuss who may be eligible, how the conflict of paying Doctors to carry out full medical evaluations without offering them an inducement to kill may be arranged, who will pay for the "service" (because it sure won't be the NHS) and politicians are pointing out that Dignitas & other clinics have a hefty fee, so this may be a way of gaining more funds for our bankrupt and failing NHS.
I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for our Prime Minister Mr Starmer to push this Bill forward … it took a Private Member to present it in the first instance.

Successive governments have' kicked the can' down the road on so many fronts. Internal bickering and stonewalling seem common. I guess the first hurdle is a good start but I also fear the dilutuion of the bill and court interventions. We have a parliament that feeds platitudes to the suffering whilst breathtakingly, overseas a failing NHS, where many people could be dying because of the problems within our state run health system, people who were desperate to live.
