my question is: literally why? they know the site will come back up eventually, and the people who used sasu to find ctb methods will have already found enough hints to figure it out on their own, so what's the point? it can't possibly be some hacktivist nonsense

people who do ddos attacks on their own do get entertainment out of it cus they lie ruining other lives and/or maybe to fulfill some sort of twisted justice they have.

I can only think of one game that had ddos attacks happen to its servers and that is Little Big Planet. The main person to ddos the servers was angry about Sony treatment of the franchise and so hacked the servers as a way to have revenge on them but overall it was a stupid thing to do as it just made everyone angry at them.

people can be just that stupid but that's how they think and while I can understand it some what, ddos attacking the servers isn't the way to do it.

people have made private servers but just a little paranoid of using them, I also won't know how to hack my ps3 (tho I won't care for any actual online features for it now except maybe using the psStore?) I don't think my pc would be good enough for ps3 emulation.

i'd recommend making a complete separate email (or even using a throwaway service) for a private server. i understand the paranoia; a warcraft private server got hacked not too long ago and someone's bank account got hacked
