real as hell! i was super invested in the sdr2 chapter 2 trial (perhaps because fuyu/hiyoko are my favorite characters and they get to shine here), but the others were... decent? as much as i like celeste as a character they don't really sell the whole "celeste is a masterful liar" thing. which is a shame!580 @whitetaildeer honestly mostly every culprit is stupid in Danganronpa. You could just get away with murder so easy if you just killed someone at night and just go back to your room with any evidence with you and make sure no one else sees you and you have won. Most culprits just overcomplicate things with moving the body or using a weird way to kill.
watsonian explanation = these are paranoid, traumatized teenagers who want to leave a killing gamereal as hell! i was super invested in the sdr2 chapter 2 trial (perhaps because fuyu/hiyoko are my favorite characters and they get to shine here), but the others were... decent? as much as i like celeste as a character they don't really sell the whole "celeste is a masterful liar" thing. which is a shame!
even with this explanation it doesn't explain Celeste's stupid plan being based off a suit that was obviously impossible to use for the murders and she had time to plan this when someone like Mondo was more likely to get away with his killing (if Byakuya didn't see it) even tho his was in the moment. Genuinely Mondo is smarter than Celeste.583
take care @APeacefulPlace ! enjoy your movie

oh no you're 100% right about this. her plan infuriates me; the entire ch3 trial infuriates me. if i try to describe how much i loathe this chapter/trial i'm going to be here all day. but in very short, simple words: it's so proud of itself. and it shouldn't be!even with this explanation it doesn't explain Celeste's stupid plan being based off a suit that was obviously impossible to use for the murders and she had time to plan this when someone like Mondo was more likely to get away with his killing (if Byakuya didn't see it) even tho his was in the moment.
