January 6th at the latest. That's when everyone in Germany takes down decorations, since it's day of arrival of the three kings. Or at least you leave it up until then.

This is right; the 12 days of xmas start on xmas day and run thru till the 5th. there's some overlap with another (pagan?) festival around that time iirc
