Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Can someone give me context to the blue whale challenge from 2015-16? Did the blue whale challenge even exist? What were the things someone had to do?
thanks

they(curators) invented hashtags to target teenagers. then these hashtags got forced(by them) and teens when acknowledged existence of these hashtags posted them on the internet to participate in the game. curators used search function of social networks and looked for hashtags victims posted and contacted w/ them in order to force them to commit suicide.
this game consist of 50 tasks for each day and the last one is an heroing. basically these tasks are aimed for mental health damage infliction which include: selfharm, sleep deprivation etc. curators also sent fishing links to get IP or personal data and blackmailed teens by spreading some info to parents or sth if one's not about to kill oneself

Did this really happen or just a saga? I read about a girl from russia, which killed herself in 2015. she was getting viral cause all ppl thought it had something to do with Blue Whale but at the end she killed herself because of her ex.

Started off on 4chan as a creepypasta, got spread to normie websites, reached infamy because scared middle aged women shared it on Facebook mom groups and news outlets picked it up. Then some sicko from Russia had a teen he knew online cut himself for the game and that's where it got the legitimacy of an online secret society that is preying on teenagers and making them kill themselves.
